Frequently Asked Questions
For each service, requesters submit payment through our secure portal, and we remit collected funds directly to your agency. Orange Data retains only a small convenience fee per transaction to cover processing and platform costs.
There is no budget impact or cost to the government to participate. We offer three services, each operating on a per-transaction model, where the fees are paid by the requester. The only exception to this is in the rare case of our Public Records Request Processing setup. Most jurisdictions qualify for free setup. (In rare cases, this service may require a nominal one-time setup fee.)
You will have real-time access to all orders placed and completed. Your staff will be sent a monthly report reconciling orders placed and fulfilled, fees collected, and payment disbursement. Municipal payments are guaranteed and remitted as directed by your finance department via check, ACH, debit, or credit.
